Martí Guixé was born in Barcelona in 1964. He studied Interior Design in Barcelona and then Industrial Design at the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan. He lives and works “on living matter” between Barcelona and Berlin, devoting himself to inventing “brilliantly simple ideas of curious significance”; a self-designated “ex-designer”, he works for such companies as Camper, Chupa-Chups, Desigual, Droog Design, Saporiti and Watx. His work has been exhibited at MoMA, New York, the London Museum of Design, MACBA in Barcelona and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Cake Book is his seventh for Corraini, after Toy weapons, Blank Book, Tattoo Book, Food Book, Food Designing e R&D Book.
