In the original illustrations made on papers of different colours and thickness, one can recognize human shapes, animals, bushes, objects, shades and colour spots mixed up in its graphical landscape. They are the characters of an abstract tale, without an “order” or a “plot”: just loose fragments of a possible story, issued from a single artistic research and described by Morteza Zahedi with a subtle and naive style.
Morteza Zahedi was born in Rasht (Iran) in 1978. He graduated in Islamic art and architecture at the University of Tehran, the city where he lives and works. He exhibited his artworks in numerous solo and group exhibitions the world over, and was awarded many prizes on the occasion of events and competitions in Iran, Japan, South Korea, Denmark, Norway, Serbia, Portugal and Italy.
