YALANCILAR VE SAHTEKÂRLAR ANSIKLOPEDİSİ, insan olmaya “aldatma ve aldanma” penceresinden bakıyor; dünden bugüne, şöhretliden bilinmeyene, en “doğru” yalanları, en “gerçek” sahteleri bir araya topluyor. Pazardan edindiği askeri üniformayla zor kullanmadan şehrin belediye sarayını teslim alan Alman ayakkabıcı (bugün adına basılmış bir pul var); kısırlık tedavisi diye erkeklere keçi testikülü nakledip servet edinen şarlatan; bir ressamla anlaşıp eşekleri zebraya dönüştüren hayvanat bahçesi (sebepleri göz yaşartıcı) ve denizkızı iskeletinden ejderha yumurtasına, alternatif gerçekler yaratmada sınır tanımayan düzenbazlar.

THE ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF LIARS AND DECEIVERS looks at being human from the perspective of “deceit and deception”; it gathers together the most ‘true’ lies and the most “real” fakes from yesterday to today, from the famous to the unknown. The German shoemaker who took over the city's municipal palace without using force with a military uniform he bought at the market (today there is a stamp issued in his name); the charlatan who made a fortune by transplanting goat testicles into men as a cure for infertility; the zoo that turned donkeys into zebras in agreement with a painter (the reasons are tear-jerking); and the deceivers who know no bounds in creating alternative truths, from mermaid skeletons to dragon eggs.
